Per the Village’s emergency elections procedures prepared by the Village attorney, the Village’s Nominating Committee did not receive any additional declarations or nominations for the three Council positions up for election by the April 14 deadline, beyond the three candidates featured in the April newsletter. Per the procedures, “if the number of candidates equals the three Council positions up for election, the elections shall be deemed uncontested and cancelled. The three candidates will officially become Council members.” The three candidates – Adrian Andreassi, Maury Mechanick, and Ronald Jones – will take the oath of office at the May 5 Annual Meeting.
