Village residents are encouraged to attend a forum for all District 1 candidates for County Council.  This forum will take place on March 14th, 7:00PM at the National 4H Center (7100 Connecticut Ave.) auditorium.  Please see attached notice on this event.   District 1 flyer (1)

 

The candidates who are currently running for election to the District 1 Council representative position are: Bill Cook, Pete Fosselman, Andrew Friedson, Ana Sol Gutierrez, Jim McGee, Regina “Reggie” Oldak, Dalbin Osorio, Meredith Wellington; R: Richard Banach

As the Village of North Chevy Chase is located in District 1, this forum is particularly significant for Village residents, as it will let you meet and hear the candidates running to replace Roger Berliner, who cannot seek reelection as the District 1 representative because of the term limits that were recently adopted in Montgomery County with respect to the County Council.  It is also important that all registered voters in the Village be sure to vote in the primary election on June 26.  The best way to express concerns that you may have about activities in the County that affect the Village and our quality of life here is to vote. If you do not vote, your voice is silent.
