The Village has received the following alert from the Maryland State Highway Administration about herbicide spraying adjacent to Inverness Drive scheduled for August 15, 2017.

“A field inspection was conducted Wednesday, August 9th at MD 185/I-495 interchange, it has been determined that the areas near Village of North Chevy Chase/Inverness Drive will need to have invasive vegetation treatments. The contractor will perform foliar applications to invasive vines/vegetation that has regenerated and they will be hand removing 1-2’ Ailanthus Trees followed up with a cut/stump treatment to the woody stumps. The contractor is slated to start the vegetation control on August 15th @ 9:00 a.m., weather pending. Vegetation control work will be completed within one business day. At the conclusion of vegetation control work a herbicide advisory marker will be placed at this location.”
